1. Playing (and levelling up) too many characters
There’s a whole slew of playable characters in Genshin Impact and it might be tempting to play a lot of them, but that’s generally a bad idea. Your resources are hard to come by and often finite, so it’s better to use them on a select roster of characters.
2. Ignoring daily commissions
After you’ve reached adventure rank 12, you can complete daily commissions. As the rewards aren’t anything to write home about, many new players just skip them completely. The commissions are however easy to do and the rewards do add up significantly, making them worth doing for sure. There’s also the final reward after completing all daily commissions.
3. Not unlocking waypoints early
Be sure to explore the world thoroughly and unlock as many waypoints as you can early on. It’ll make travel a lot easier, as well as exploration and quests, which you’ll be doing a lot of. Best to get it out of the way as you go along.
4. Not using the map effectively
Look, there’s a lot of area to cover in Genshin Impact. The map can be your worst enemy starting out. Make sure you’ve marked helpful things you’ve found such as mining spots, for later reference. It’ll make navigating everything a lot easier.
5. Not checking weapon stats thoroughly
Just because some weapons have a higher star rating, doesn’t mean it’s automatically better for you to use. Make sure you’re using weapons that fit your character and their stats, otherwise you’ll be wasting a ton of time and potential.
