The Chinese Roster Shuffle is picking up steam – PSG.LGD & Vici Gaming announce their rosters
Months of rumours and hearsay are coming to a head in the Chinese Dota 2 scene. With several teams starting to announce their rosters next year’s competition is starting to take shape.
While there is still nothing official on the reputed “superteam” of 4 Angry Man (4AM) that has been in the works for months, several other Chinese teams have offficially unveiled their rosters for the upcoming season. Among them are quite a lot of household names like PSG.LGD, Vici Gaming and EHOME.
PSG.LGD brings back the director
After the departure of superstars Xu “fy” Linsen and Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao earlier in September all eyes were set on PSG.LGD’s new roster. After all the team had reached two consecutive Top 3 finishes at TI8 and TI9. To reclaim their former glory PSG.LGD has now signed former long-time member Zhang “xiao8” Ning along with the majority of the EHOME roster he had been coaching.
While Faith_bian, y and xiao8 will be joining permanently, Nothingtosay and Xinq will play for LGD on loan. Former members Jian Wei “xNova” Yap and Yang “Chalice” Shenyi are departing in turn to EHOME. To fill in the last slot PSG.LGD will also bring back Ame after the carry played the majority of the year under the CDEC banner.

Vici Gaming secure 23savage
The other Chinese power house Vici Gaming has also announced their lineup for the upcoming season. Prior to the suspension of the current Dota Pro Circuit season they had been the best performing Chinese team.

Although they have confirmed the departure of starplayers Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun and Zhou “Yang” Haiyang, Vici Gaming already has more than capable replacement at hand. Taking over Eurus’ role will be Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, the young Thai talent had been one of the first players to reach 11,000 MMR on the ladder and last played for fnatic. For the offlane Vici Gaming will be welcoming back Ren “oldeLeVeN” Yangwei.
As 23savage is not in China yet, Yang “Erica” Shaohan will fill his role as temporary stand-in.

EHOME brings in sccc
With the majority of their roster moving to PSG.LGD, EHOME had to also recruit for alternatives. They announced their new roster on Weibo:
Their new roster will be headlined by quite a few big names as they will now field former PSG.LGD players Chalice and xNova, while they also signed former Team Aster carry Song “Sccc” Chun. Another addition from the old PSG.LGD roster will be their coach Yao “Yao” Zhengzheng.

What about the “superteam”?
While fans had been looking forward to the finalized rosters of the three teams, many are still waiting on further news about the rumoured all-star team. Allegedly a new team consisting of China’s best players is being formed under the banner of 4 Angry Men (4AM), a Chinese PUBG organisation that is expanding into Dota 2.
