4 AM enter Dota 2 with Chinese Superteam

Update: Apparently 4AM is already undergoing roster changes within a single day. The full story here:
Sylar kicked from 4AM?

Original article from October 2 below:
The rumour mill has been running for a long time, now it is finally official. Four Angry Men, an organisation focused on PUBG, will enter the Dota 2 scene. Signing a roster including the likes of fy, Somnus and Yang, they are going all out right away.

With the official announcement on Weibo the rumors have finally proven true. Four Angry Men (4AM) have signed some of the best Dota 2 players in China to reach for the Aegis.

Not as “super” as everyone thought?

Finalizing their roster the new 4AM Dota 2 team is headlined by former PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming stars. Just like the rumors said legendary support player Xu “fy” Linsen and midlaner Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao from PSG.LGD joined up with the new organisation. The other positions will be filled by Vici Gaming’s former offlaner Zhou “Yang” Haiyang, grizzled veteran Liu “Sylar” Jiajun and the rising support player Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao and the

Initially the lineup was rumored to also include star player Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun and veteran coach Bai “rOtK” Fan to truly form an “all-star” squad of the current Chinese scene.

While Sylar also has a storied Dota 2 career, international success has eluded him in recent years. The other unexpected recruit is Xz, best known for being part of the CDEC run at The International 2015 that ended in second place. He last played actively in 2017.

4AM Dota 2 roster:

  1. Liu “Sylar” Jiajun
  2. Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao
  3. Zhou “Yang” Haiyang
  4. Xu “fy” Linsen
  5. Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao

Even if the new 4AM roster is not as star-studded as it would have been with rOtk and Eurus, the sheer individual skill gathered on each position will make 4AM an instant contender for the upcoming Dota 2 season.

This also opens up the question of which team Eurus will be joining as he has opted to not renew his contract with Vici Gaming and is now a free agent.
