Fnatic enters VALORANT, sign SUMN FC roster

Yet another big esports organization decides to make a move into VALORANT, as Fnatic has signed the SUMN FC roster ahead of the VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers.

Fnatic teased the signing via Twitter earlier today and posted a link to a countdown on Twitch, where they showcased their new players in a highlight video. Chief Gaming Officer of Fnatic Patrik “cArn” Sättermon talked about the signing and joining VALORANT. “We’re so excited to finally join VALORANT. It’s been the number one thing fans have been asking for since the game launched, and we’ve taken our time to identify a roster that fits our vision of competing for the top titles in every game we enter.”

SUMN FC was one of the biggest rosters that was still without an organization to represent in Europe. Earlier this year they secured second place in the VALORANT contenders cup, where they lost out to FunPlus Phoenix in the Grand Final. They also took home a second place during First Strike Europe, where they actually did beat out FunPlus phoenix in the semifinals before falling to Team Heretics in the finals.

The team consists of captain Jake “Boaster” Howlett, Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, James “Mistic” Orfila, Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff and Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulos. The roster will be coached by Jacob “mini” Harris. They’ll already be competing tomorrow in the VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers.
