ONE Esports announces Singapore Major

With the first season of the regional leagues approaching their halfway point, fans have been waiting on news about the first Dota 2 Major of 2021. ONE Esports has now announced the Singapore Major as the first clash of the world’s best.

The Singapore Major will take place from March 27 to April 4 and feature 18 teams qualified through the regional leagues. They will compete for the grand prize of $500,000 and the ever precious Dota Pro Circuit points.

In cooperation with PGL the event will be broadcast in 4K resolution at 60 fps. Further details will be announced at a later date.

With Singapore as end goal in mind the competition in the regional leagues for the few tickets to the Major will be even fiercer. The distribution of teams will be as follows:

Western Europe & China:

  • 4 Teams:
    • First seed qualifies for playoffs
    • Second seed qualifies for group stage
    • Third and Fourth seed qualify for the Wild Card stage

South East Asia & Eastern Europe (CIS):

  • 3 Teams:
    • First seed qualifies for playoffs
    • Second seed qualifies for group stage
    • Third seed qualifies for the Wild Card stage

North America & South America:

  • 2 Teams:
    • First seed qualifies for playoffs
    • Second seed qualifies for group stage
