GuardiaN to enter free agency

It’s time for Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovàcs to search out new opportunities, as he finds himself a free agent following the end of his contract with Natus Vincere.

In a Twitter post, GuardiaN explained that he’ll be looking for new opportunities in Free Agency. “From now on I am a free agent. I am open to consider any offer and grind back my way to the top level events!” It’s been quite a rough stretch for GuardiaN in the recent year, as he’s been on the inactive list for an entire year after Natus Vincere decided to bring in Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy, who is currently still playing for the organization.

It’s likely that GuardiaN will find himself a new home as he’s still one of the biggest names on the market right now alongside being a very experienced voice within the scene. During his career he found himself among the top 20 best players in the world 6 times. It’s the second time he’ll be leaving Natus Vincere, previously moving to FaZe Clan for 2 years before rejoining them in September of 2019.

The move doesn’t come as a complete surprise, as GuardiaN already mentioned he was looking to get back into competing a few months ago. In a column with Dexerto, GuardiaN spoke about coming back. “I’m not just coming back to CS:GO to tick a box and earn a paycheck. It’s much, much more than that. I’m hungrier than ever; and I feel like with the right team, I can finally claim the elusive Major trophy and it will no longer be a case of ‘one that got away.’”
