Mousesports win Flashpoint Season 3 in dominant fashion, only drop one map in the entire tournament
Mousesports was able to successfully end their amazing run at Flashpoint Season 3, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Grand Final and taking home the title.
It had been an amazing tournament for mousesports so far, as they hadn’t dropped a single map going into the Grand Final, defeating teams such as Astralis, G2 Esports and BIG along the way. A lot of the eyes were on their newest IGL Christopher “dexter” Nong, who was brought in to fill the shoes of Karrigan back in February, which he has been doing a stellar job of so far.
On Overpass, the first map of the Grand Final, Ninjas in Pyjamas was able to deal mousesports their first loss in a contested match, with NIP holding off a mouz comeback. Mousesports went on to recover on Nuke and Inferno however, with David “frozen” Čerňanský and Robin “ropz” Kool putting in some great performances to lift the team to their Grand Final victory, a victory not many people would have expected going into Flashpoint Season 3.
By winning the event mousesports take home $17.000 in prize money and, perhaps more importantly, 1600 RMR points. This puts both teams in a comfortable position for the PGL Major Stockholm, but there are still two RMR events to be played. It’ll be interesting to see if mousesports can keep up their great form.
