Cold War & Warzone Season 4 Reloaded – What you need to know
There’s a lot of exciting stuff coming our way in season 4 reloaded, as we finally got to see the roadmap.
The basics
As usual, the patch for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded will be dealt out in the form of a patch, which varies in size depending on the platform you’re playing on. you’ll be able to start downloading the patch on July 15 at 06:00 CEST, with the size of the patch ranging from 8 GB to 20 GB depending on the platform and the version of Call of Duty you’ve got.
Cold War multiplayer
New game modes and playlists will be introduced to the multiplayer, which will also include a new map to play on. First off, the map that’s making a return this time around is ‘Rush’, which was a DLC map from Black Ops II, featuring lots of tight corridors and close quarters combat in the middle of the map. Rush will be available in both core and hardcore playlists as well as private matches.
With Paintball Moshpit and Capture the Flag, two new game modes enter the fray. Capture The Flag is an undisputed classic of the Call of Duty franchise and makes it return, with players aiming to defend their flag while capturing the one of the opposition. Up next is Paintball Moshpit, which will be released later this season and emulates a paintball experience including visuals and sound effects. Finally Rush 24/7 and the Cranked Moshpit are the newest playlists to hit the game and will be coming towards the middle of the season.
New Weapons and Operator
Two new weapons will be hitting the game in the form of the OTs9 and the Mace. The Mace is a relatively standard melee weapon which has you going medieval on your opponents, while the OTs9 is a brand new SMG to play around with, which features great handling and a fast fire rate, making it potentially one of the most sought after and used weapons. The OTs9 will be available at launch, while the Mace will come throughout the season.
The new operator that’s entering the fray is Weaver who is still rocking his classic eyepatch. Weaver is yet again a familiar face that is joining the battle, appearing first in Call of Duty Black Ops. He’ll be available as the season progresses.
New Warzone killstreaks and game modes
The Sentry Gun is the newest killstreak to make it to Warzone, an automatic sentry gun that fires in a 180 degrees radius and which will last for about a minute on the battlefield. Those who want to obtain it when playing will have to do so through Red Door supply boxes.
When it comes to the new game modes, the first one is Payload, which will be available at launch. It’s the first objective-based mode coming to Warzone and sees you joining one of two teams that has to either move a vehicle to a location or seek to destroy it while preventing the vehicle from reaching checkpoints.
Finally there’s Blueprint Blitz, which will come throughout the season. Blueprint Blitz is an event which will see players getting special Contraband contracts after finishing two regular ones, which will allow them to unlock certain older blueprints from the previous seasons they weren’t able to get back then.
