How to get more stardust in Pokémon GO

Stardust becomes essential later on in the game as it’s primarily used to power up your Pokémon. That’s something that has become more important in the game over the years, as more battles were added, battle leagues became a thing and Team Rocket GO show up quite regularly. It’s also an important component in purifying the Shadow Pokémon you might pick up along the way.

How to get more stardust

Capturing Pokémon. You can get more Stardust when capturing Pokémon with the appropriate weather boost.
Make sure to do your research tasks. The bigger events often reward you with big amounts of Stardust, so always be on the lookout to complete them.
Exchange gifts with friends. As you improve your friendship level and exchange gifts between friends, you can net a solid amount of Stardust, daily.
Go raiding (and defeat Team Rocket GO). These activities reward you with great amounts of Stardust and you might snag some interesting Pokémon along the way, which you can use in battles.
Egg hatching is another method of gaining stardust, as you’ll get a medium amount when hatching an egg.

Also, don’t forget that the Star Piece item can help you out greatly if you’re ever low on Stardust and you know you’ve got a good amount coming in. It’ll increase your Stardust gained by 50% for a limited time.
