After horrible launch: Battlefield 2042 is quickly becoming one of the worst reviewed titles ever

Many people were excited for a new iteration of the Battlefield franchise, but so far Battlefield 2042 hasn’t lived up to expectations. At launch, many players have complained about the game being riddled with bugs, dodgy hitboxes, vehicles just not working and overall performance being shaky at best. Despite a patch being pushed out on day one, things haven’t really changed all that much, which is clear from a lot of the reviews the game has been getting.

Battlefield 2042 currently has over 30,000 negative reviews on Steam, which makes it one of the worst-reviewed games on the platform as a whole. The game hasn’t really been doing better on Metacritic either, with it receiving a User Score of 2.3, with only 1 in 6 people actually giving the game a positive rating.

Things have gotten so bad that fans and players have been compiling a list with all the things the game is lacking or that it’s doing wrong. According to them a lot of the core features are missing (such as no global leaderboards) alongside major changes to gunplay and vehicles. EA and Dice have already communicated that they’ll keep on working at the game, but it might be too little too late.
