Ekko gets new Arcane inspired skin – Firelight Ekko

League of Legends announced on Twitter that Ekko’s new skin, Firelight Ekko, will be available on the PBE. This is the latest Arcane inspired skin to be implemented in the game following the series release.

Ekko is just one of many champions featured on the Netflix animated series, Arcane, released earlier in November. Ekko’s new skin references his affiliation with the Firelight organization in the plot of the show. The skin’s recall animation features the hoverboard the character is seen riding in Arcane and several abilities feature Ekko’s well known emblem.

Other characters – such as Jayce, Vi, Jinx, and Caitlin, have similarly received Arcane skin lines. Notably though Ekko’s skin clearly takes inspiration from his appearance in Arcane, it is not listed as a part of the Arcane skin line, unlike those listed above. It is perhaps implied that we could see more skins related to or adjacent to the popular animated series.

Arcane released earlier this past November, with all nine episodes now available to watch on Netflix. The series has been met with incredibly positive reception, garnering high reviews across the board and topping ‘most watched’ categories world-wide. Though Riot Games’ first foray into animation, the series is already confirmed to receive a second season.

While Ekko’s new skin is available on the PBE now, it has not yet been revealed when his Firelight appearance will be made available to the public in the League of Legends store.\
