Cloud9 and coach LS make 2-0 start in LCS – TSM remain winless

Cloud9 made themselves known by picking up some unconventional champions in unconventional roles and making them work for them. In their match against Golden Guardians, Fudge took Ivern to the mid lane, while support Winsome picked up Sona, dismantling Golden Guardians for a first win. Evil Geniuses got hit with a Soraka mid lane and while Impact tried to save them with his Tryndamere, they eventually fell to Cloud9, leaving the latter on top of the LCS table after the first week.

Three other teams also scored a 2-0 week, being 100 Thieves (wins over Team Liquid and CLG), Dignitas (wins over Immortals and TSM) and FlyQuest (wins over CLG and Golden Guardians). Both Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid missed their start a little bit despite being picked as favorites, dropping a game each.

Another team that surprisingly finds themselves at the bottom of the table after week 1 is TSM, losing out to Evil Geniuses and Dignitas. TSM has overhauled a lot of their roster, bringing in two Chinese players in the form of mid laner Keaiduo and support Shenyi, but they failed to find their footing. They’ll be looking to gain confidence against Golden Guardians and FlyQuest next week.
