Technical issues force LCS to postpone FlyQuest vs Evil Geniuses
The LCS Super Week didn’t have the smoothest of starts. Technical issues at the LCS studio forced Riot Games to postpone the last game of the night, a first in LCS regular season history.
The first day of this week’s Super Week was plagued with pauses. The problems first arose during the game between Immortals and CLG, when latency issues forced the match to be paused multiple times in a 10-minute timeframe, much to the frustration of the players affected on both teams.
Ultimately, LCS officials decided to go ahead and finish the game, as they deemed the outcome wouldn’t be impacted. Immortals did indeed close out the game and keep the lead they garnered before the pauses.
“League officials have identified a technical issue that they believe will impact the integrity of the upcoming game,” the LCS said in a statement on Twitter.

Unfortunately for the FlyQuest and Evil Geniuses fans, the league decided to postpone the last game of the night. The highly anticipated matchup has been rescheduled as an extra game today. This means that FlyQuest will have back-to-back games.
The LCS continues today with FlyQuest taking on Immortals, and Cloud9 on Sunday. Evil Geniuses faces the Golden Guardians and CLG respectively. And of course, each other.
