Both Epic Games and Microsoft to donate Fortnite proceeds to Ukraine relief funds
In an announcement posted to their website, Epic Games has said they’ll be donating all the proceeds they gather from Fortnite to Ukrainian humanitarian relief funds. These funds will support health support, food, clean water, essential supplies and more. “Epic is committing all its Fortnite proceeds from March 20, 2022 through April 3, 2022 to humanitarian relief for people affected by the war in Ukraine.”
Not only Epic Games will be donating, as they’re teaming up with Microsoft who will be donating proceeds from the Xbox side of things as well. “Xbox is joining us in this effort and is committing their net proceeds for Fortnite during this time, so that we can get more aid to the people of Ukraine.”
This includes V-bucks, Battle Passes, cosmetics and more. While the support-a-creator donations won’t be included in these proceeds, creators can opt to share their donations with the Ukrainian humanitarian relief funds as well.
