All 10 LEC Spring Split 2021 bot laners ranked

The botlane has been one of the more influential roles in competitive League of Legends, so let’s see how our bot laners are doing in the LEC.

We had the ardent-meta, the meta where you could almost play anything in the botlane and much more. In the current state of the game, the botlane has a lot of options when it comes to good item builds. Combined with strong players, this role has a lot of carry-potential even in the LEC. Today we take a look at the top 10 botlaners for the LEC and see just how they stack up against each other. Of course, opinions may differ.

10. Jeskla – Astralis

We see Astralis struggle at the bottom of the standings. The bot lane of Jeskla and promisq often makes mistakes in the botlane, giving up a kill although Jeskla has shown us a Xayah game that was almost a solo carry performance. However, he has not been given the tools to shine and it is hard to place him above other botlaners because we have not seen his true potential yet.

9. Neon – Schalke 04

One of the players who completely reformed after having a more difficult past. He has shown how to become a better player and contributed a lot in the first wins of Schalke 04. He has a 36,3% killshare but is most of the time still unable to carry his team. Even with his most played champion being Kai’Sa, who is currently an extraordinarily strong champion, he still only has a 50% win rate.

8. Jezu – SK Gaming

The story of SK Gaming is one of the botlane as well. Treatz together with Jezu have been dominating and fighting every other team in the early two on two. With aggressive combinations build around Jezu’s Kalista pick, he often has a lot of the kills in his pocket. However, he is still the last one in gold per minute, meaning that even though he gets a lot of kills, he is not being funneled other resources like minions or turret plates. That is a clear working point for him.

7. Kobbe – Misfits

One of the more experienced botlaners in our league and one of which we still expect so much more. It feels like he still must reach a new height but it has been a hard and long process for the Danish botlaner so far. After returning from North America, he has found his groove again and picked nine different champions already. Together with Vander, we want him to step up once again now playoffs are around the corner.

6. Crownshot – Vitality

Crownshot has been one of the better botlaners from the last split, rallying his team behind him to make a run at playoffs. It did not quite work out and in the middle of the split he replaced Comp on Vitality. With a minion score of 10.12 per minute, he is leading the stat as a botlaner compared with a magnificent 73,3% kill participation. Although he only has eight games played, he can still turn the season around for Team Vitality.

5. Patrik – EXCEL

The story of EXCEL is an interesting one. Every season they just do not quite make it to the playoffs, falling short by a game or two. Right now they were in a good spot once again after a strong start to the season. They dropped the ball after that good start, and we looked to Patrik to help turn it around. He has always been a strong player but just like Kobbe it feels like we have not yet seen the true potential and peak.

4. Carzzy – MAD Lions

When Carzzy joined the LEC last year, he immediately proved he was here to stay. With an aggressive playstyle in the botlane, the willingness to flash forward and goofiness in his personality, we already knew he would make Europe proud. This season has not been the best for him and we might even add that the botlane is a point of weakness for MAD Lions. Once this has been filtered out, we will see a strong MAD in the playoffs contesting the top three once again.

3. Upset – Fnatic

Underrated for so long that he became overrated and went back to underrated. Yet, how good is Upset now? He shows on Fnatic that if he gets the resources to carry and the room in teamfights to position properly, he can completely take over games. This could be the first time we see Upset back in a European final since 2018 if he can hold on to his current form.

2. Hans sama – Rogue

Without a doubt one of the best bot laners in Europe for quite a long time now. Especially now that Perkz has left, Hans sama has taken over his spot as one of the best. He has flown under the radar for quite a long time and he’s one of the few bot laners that gives Rekkles a run for his money, while he also has a lot of international experience to back him up.

1. Rekkles – G2 Esports

There can only be one Greatest Of All Time and that is Rekkles. From his debut on Fnatic until today on G2 Esports, he has led the league and set a precedent for all bot laners. He’s the only bot laner in the LEC who has made it to a Worlds final, he’s been performing consistently this season, and it is truly clear that he will not give up until he has a Worlds title.

That was our list of the top 10 LEC bot laners ranked. The LEC continues tomorrow for a super week where every team plays three games to see which ones advance to the playoffs. With three spots being locked, Fnatic, SK Gaming, Schalke 04, Misfits Gaming, Excel and Team Vitality still fight for the remaining three.
