All the Agent changes coming with VALORANT Episode 3

Episode 3 is bringing some massive changes along with it, effecting every existing Agent in some way.

Along with bringing the latest Agent, Kay/o, into public servers, Episode 3 stands to modified every other current Agent in VALORANT. In some form, every Agent in the game will see changes either through price changes, ultimate points, or other aspects.

Agents seeing nerfs – Jett, Omen, Skye, and more

Most Agents in Episode three will see a price increase in their abilities of some kind. Jett is chief among the nerfed Agents, seeing price increases across the board. Cloud (100>200) and Updraft (100>150) will be effected along with her ultimate, Blade Storm (6>7). Skye is the other Agent seeing the most nerfs, as he guiding light will be moved from 3 to 2 charges, cost more (100>250) and have a longer cooldown (40seconds). Raze is another duelist hit some price changes to her Boombot (200>400) and ultimate (7>8).

Sova, a mainstay in the meta since the game’s release, may be rendered less viable for the first time. The initiator’s Owl Drone (300>400), Shock Bolt (100>150), and Hunter’s Fury (7>8) all saw significant price increases.

Other nerfs are far more ‘minor’ and include:

  • Phoenix’s Curveball 200 > 250
  • Reyna’s Leer 200 > 250
  • Viper‘s Snake Bite 100 > 200
  • Yoru‘s Blindside 200 > 250
  • Brimstone’s Incendiary 200 > 250
Agents getting either buffs or adjustments – Breach, Cypher, and more

Significantly fewer Agents are seeing buffs out of this massive price overall. Breach is perhaps seeing the best outcome out of this patch. Though his Aftershock is increasing (100>200), he will now have three charges. Cypher will see an ultimate price decrease (7>6) and Jett will no longer be able to dash through his trip wires.

Omen is seeing more lateral movements rather than a straight forward buff or nerf. Shrouded Step (100 >150) and Dark cover (Free > 100) will be increased, but Paranoia (400>300) will see a significant decrease.

Killjoy is the only Agent left untouched by this sweeping patch. Brining not only Agent changes, but Kay/o, and weapon price increases, Episode three will undoubtedly change the fabric of VALORANT’s standing meta.
