People who were looking forward to playing New World will have to wait a little while longer, as the game is delayed yet again.
The new MMO from Amazon Games will be delayed for another month. This means it’ll come out on September 28 instead of the previously set August 31. As the closed beta for the game has recently come to an end, the team behind the game decided they need more time to iron out some of the issues and make some improvements before the game is set to release.
In a statement made to Twitter, the developers behind New World share a little more insight into the decision. “Along the way, you’ve also given us a ton of feedback that we’ll use to make New World even better. We want New World’s launch to be a smooth and fun experience for all players and that means making some improvements based on what you encountered during the closed beta.”
It’s not the first time New World has been delayed, as it was originally planned for a release way back in May 2020 but it received delays to August 25 and spring 2021 before landing on August 31 2021. Fans of the MMO genre will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the new game, but response to the closed beta has been relatively positive, which might mean the wait is worth it.
