Battlefield 2042 Release delayed – When will the Open Beta start?

Fans of Batlefield 2042 need to be patient for a bit longer as the developers have announced a delay in the relase of the FPS.

In their statement the developers said that they decided to postpone the launch of Battlefield 2042 to November 19. Almost a month later than the initial release date on October 22.

Pandemic-related challenges force delay

They cited “unforseen challenges” for ther development teams due to the pandemic as their teams need to work from home due to the current situation. To ensure the quality they decided to postpone the release and put that additional time to good use.

When will the Open Beta start?

There is no official date set for the launch of the Open Beta yet, but the statement did promise additional information later this month. According to leaker Tom Henderson the Open Beta will start on September 22. But we will have to see if the prognosis is correct.
