Caedrel remains a caster, turns downs Vitality coaching job

Former professional jungler and current LEC Caster, Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, stated on Twitter that he will remain on the official Riot Games broadcast for the 2022 competitive season. During the Dot Esports Free Agency Show, it was revealed that the British jungler had received a coaching offer at Team Vitality. If he took this offer, he would have coached a revitalized Vitality alongside Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre.

In a Tweet, Caedrel discussed his intention to remain on the LEC broadcast and provided insight as to why he made the decision. In his Tweet, Caedrel stated that the biggest reason he decided to stay is that “I haven’t experienced casting to its fullest.” Also saying that he does not want to jump ship after only a year, Caedrel cited that he has yet to cast in front of a live crowd.

Shortly after retiring from professional play, Caedrel joined the LEC as a caster in the midst of a global pandemic. The caster has since broadcasted throughout both domestic splits and made appearances at both MSI and Worlds.

Going into the 2022 season, Caedrel will remain on the broadcast alongside the likes of Drakos, Vedius, and Sjokz. Though the European LEC live team has seen several major changes throughout the years, both losing and onboarding new talent, Caedrel will be a reoccurring member of the weekly broadcast starting in the 2022 season.
