Call of Duty’s Festive Fervor winter event is coming this weekend

A new seasonal event for the holiday season, dubbed Festive Fervor, is coming to Call of Duty this upcoming weekend. The event will begin on Friday, December 17th and run until the end of the weekend.

This winter and holiday themed event will feature new cosmetics including Santa’s Slay Bundle, as well as some limited time game modes and challenges for both Warzone and Vanguard. In the latest iteration of CoD, Vanguard, Shipment will get a holiday re-design. In the new game mode, Festive Fervor Armageddon, there will be hidden elves around players can eliminated to earn killstreaks.

The Christmas horror figure, Krampus, will also make an appearance in Vanguard. Krampus will appear in multiplayer games and will target players wit the ‘least impressive’ scores. With devastating and humiliating finishers, players are warned to avoid the bottom of the standings if they don’t want a run in with the folklore legend.

For Warzone, ‘festive firs’ will be placed around the newly minted map, Caldera. When players approach these firs, several supply boxes will appear for a limited time. Some of these crates will allegedly carry legendary items in them as well. Krampus is set to hunt down players in this battle royale game mode as well. Hidden elves similar to those in the Vanguard game mode will also be hidden around the map.

Vanguard owners will be gifted 10 bonus tier skips for the event, a 10% bonus XP modifier, and 24 tiers Vanguard tiers.
