Call of Duty’s “The Haunting” event – Everything you need to know
Are you ready for a spooky time? The seasonal Halloween event “The Haunting” has arrived to Call of Duty. Here is everything you need to know.

How long does the event last?
The Haunting will be active from October 19 until November 2 throughout Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
What happens during “The Haunting”?
Black Ops Cold War offers new modes for multiplayer and zombies with special challenges: Infected, Prop Hunt Halloween and Scream Deathmatch.
In Infected players need to hold off waves of zombies that are trying to infect them. Prop Hunt Halloween’s objective is hiding Halloween Props from Hunters in-game. The last new mode Scream Deathmatch allows two players to become Ghostface to search and eliminate the other unarmed players.
Ghost of Verdansk
Warzone introduces the mode “Ghosts of Verdansk” during “The Haunting”. Eliminated players will not be sent to the Gulag in this mode. Instead they turn into ghosts. While they are unarmed, they have supernatural abilities, which allow them to travel long distances, teleport and sabotage other operators and vehicles with Spectral Blast.
If an Operator dies, his soul gets left behind. If a ghost manages to collect three souls he will respawn as the original Operator. The other method of respawning is executing a Finishing Move.
Safety from ghosts can only be found in territories that are marked as blue. Sanctified ground prevents ghosts from entering initially, but over time they will be able to breach the barrier.
In addition to all these features, players also have to manage a Fear Meter. It ranges from 0 to 100 points. The higher the number the more hallucinations will be shown to Operators. Fear is accumulated if you see ghosts or corpses. Besides that getting shot and camping will also increase Fear. You can reduce your Fear Meter by either eliminating ghosts or opponents or by standing in aforementioned sanctified ground.
What are the rewards?
There are new challenges in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War that offer 19 different rewards. The biggest rewards is unlocked by completing all missions: The new LAPA SMG.
