Can Na’Vi lead S1mple to his first Major championship?

PGL Major Stockholm has seen countless upsets, but entering the Champions Stage the favorites are clear. Three teams carry the CIS banner, looking to cap off a historic year for the region. Natus Vincere leads the pack, entering the knockouts undefeated and looking better than ever.

Two other powerhouses in G2 Esports and Heroic oppose them on the opposite side of the bracket. These two teams have shown incredibly peaks throughout the year, though have struggled to maintain their found success. While Na’Vi seem poised to win their first Major, they have to defeat several different usurpers.

Na’Vi’s road to Champions

Natus Vincere are the crownless kings of CS:GO. Hosting some of the most talent players in any FPS, the team clearly has the individual ability to win a Major. Though S1mple is often the name on the lips of both analysts and fans, B1T has actually been the teams top performer.

Thus far in the tournament, B1T has found the highest overall rating (1.44) and the second highest K-D (1.74). Considering the relatively few maps Na’Vi played, the feats achieved by their players are tremendous. Facing off against Vitality, many expect that this will be a superstar clash between ZywOo and S1mple. Na’Vi’s supporting cast have proven themselves to be world class, and likely this will be the difference maker.

G2 or Heroic, do either stand a chance?

Both G2 and Heroic are entering this Champions stage incredibly hyped up. G2 seem like the team most likely to make a finals run from their side of the bracket. The team excelled in the Groups Stage as NiKo massively stepped up his performance.

On the other hand, Heroic have near constant threats such as Stvn and cadiaN who pulled off some of the most impressive individual plays this year. Still, just as easily as these teams can heat up, they can similarly fall off. Both teams are likely to win their quarter-final matchup, and beyond that it seems either could make the finals.
