Chamber – VALORANT’s newest Agent and his abilities

Ever since the announcement of Fracture, Riot Games has hinted at the launch of a new Agent. Releasing only vague teasers alluding to the new addition, Riot Games announced their new Agent earlier today via Twitter.

Chamber is set to be VALORANT’s 17th Agent, following the release of KAY/O. Players will have to wait to test out the French Sentinel, as his release has reportedly been set back. Confirmed by Riot Games, Chamber will be available for play beginning at Act III Part III.

Along with an Agent teaser showcasing the visual aesthetics of Chamber, the playable character’s abilities were released as well. Though showing some similarities to Yoru and Killjoy, Chamber brings some very unique elements to VALORANT, hosting his own weapons in two abilities.

Chambers C (Trademark) places a trap that destabilizes terrain once a visible enemy comes in range. Q (Headhunter) is one of two unique weapon abilities, equipping a heavy pistol with aim-down-sights ability most equatable to the Sheriff. The Sentinel’s teleport, E (Rendezvous), mirros Yoru’s in the two-way nature.

The Agent’s ultimate is by far his most distinguishing ability. X (Tour de Force) summons a sniper rifle with the approximate power of an Operator. Upon killing an opponent, a limited field slowing all other enemy Agents appears. The sniper rifle runs on a time based system, similar to Raze’s Showstopper.

Based off this available information, Chamber seems like a great Agent optimized for eco rounds, as his Q and X provide high damage weapons with less or no up front cost.
