Cloud9 switches floppy to their VALORANT roster

The most recent player to switch from CS:GO to VALORANT, Floppy will make his VALORANT debut on Cloud9 Blue.

In wake of cutting one of their founding VALORANT members, Skyler “Relyks” Weaver, Cloud9 have transitioned their CS:GO player Ricky “floppy” Kemery into their Cloud9 Blue roster.

Recently, Cloud9 announced their decision to take a break from Counter Strike and suspended their activity in the space. Cutting a majority of their roster, both Floppy and Erick “Xeppaa” Bach were both retained.

Floppy remained in the competitive CS scene for 6 years before this switch, and was most known for playing under teams such as Vireo.pro, Team Singularity, and Vision Gaming before landing on Cloud9. Floppy’s most notable achievements come from winning the Tokyo in Tusla 2018, Cougar Washington D.C. Open 2018, National Championship Series: Major Chicago, and the NCS Grand Finals at Fragdelphia 14.

Cloud9’s VALORANT roster, though finding middling results since the dawn of the VCT era in VALORANT esports, has recently surged as they made their first closed qualifier appearance just recently. Floppy could stand to vastly improve this roster and take them to the next level, once again competing with the likes of Sentinels, TSM, and 100 Thieves as they did during their first months when Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was still a part of the roster actively.

Where Xeppaa will land is still up the air, however many have speculated that the Ex-Chaso rifler may also end up on Cloud9’s VALORANT roster if not traded to another VALORANT squad.
