CS:GO introduces Trusted Mode against Cheaters

Valve continues the struggle against cheaters in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The developer has now introduced Trusted Mode for CS:GO.

After a short testing period Valve has now implemented Trusted Mode to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on July 8. The update is roughly 17MB in size.

The new Trusted mode is supposed to secure the game against interference from third party programs.

You can still bypass Trusted Mode by running the command “-untrusted” when starting the game. This will impact the Trust Factor of your account, but can be used to run programs that are blocked.

Valve has also given players the command “-insecure” to run third party programs for official matches outside of the Valve servers. However the developers said that most legal programs should run without any issue.
