Custom Maps headed to Among Us?

Ever since InnerSloth cancelled the sequel to Among Us, the developers have been hard at work to improve the current streaming sensation. During a livestream the developers have now also touched upon the topic of custom maps angesprochen.

The popular deduction game Among Us currently has three different maps with a fourth in development. Nevertheless the players would love to see more varied environments to battle imposters in. During the stream a question was raised regarding the possibility of a custom map creator for Among Us.

“That would be cool”

While the idea itself was met with approval from the developers they also said that a potential map maker would take time. Currently the maps in the game are all hand-crafted and there is no “toolbox” to build more maps with. It would need significant rework to provide the community the necessary tools for custom maps.
So for now the developers have put custom maps on the backburner. Instead their focus right now is on fixing bugs and implementing much-demanded quality of life changes to the game.
