VALORANT coming to consoles has been confirmed for quite a while and with the current success that the game is currently enjoying, it’s no surprise that Riot Games is thinking in that direction. Things remained relatively silent on the topic, until now. A new job listing that was recently posted online by Riot Games might prove that the company is thinking of porting the games to consoles to reach a whole new audience of players.
Twitter profile ‘VALORANT Leaks & Info” posted some information on the job listing, which was in search of a ‘Senior Game Designer for Consoles (VALORANT)’. Riot Games actually posted two job listings to their website. While it’s not confirmed which consoles VALORANT would be available on, the best bets are PlayStation 5 and Xbox, unless an exclusivity deal gets worked out.
Many fans of the game have been working out some of the logistics that come with a potential console port of VALORANT. The topic of aim assist has been heavily discussed, as well as the repercussions on cross-platform play, often looking in the direction of Call of Duty games and Warzones. For now we’ll have to wait and see when we’re getting some more information on a VALORANT console port.
