Dota 101 – Fastest farming heroes in Dota 2

More people, more farm

One of the easiest ways to make sure you can farm fast, is by having more people to do it. While you can only play as one hero during the game, some of them can kinda cheat this rule. Naga Siren, Terrorblade and Phantom Lancer are all known for the illusions they create and use to farm and fight.

While not quite the same as an extra hero, these illusions can surely pack a punch and help you secure those last hits. Just send them through the lanes while you tackle the jungle, and your farming speed will be increased with ludicrous amounts. You can even take it a level higher with heroes like Meepo, Lone Druid and Arc Warden. All of them possess abilities that blur the line between hero and illusion. With Arc Warden and Lone Druid you can even buy and make use of two hands of midas, if you want to go really overboard.

More speed, more farm

Another way heroes can excel in the farming department is simply through the concept of speed. If your hero moves around the map quickly while also having a high consistent AOE damage to quickly clear creeps with, it’s bound to be one of the fastest farmers in the game. This is where we find heroes like Luna, Anti-Mage, Clinkz, Tinker and Sven.

They can clear creeps in the blink of an eye and all have ways of moving on to the next camp quickly. Knowing this, you can in a sense make every hero a fast farmer. Battlefury or Maelstrom to clear the creeps, and Blink Dagger or Boots of Travel to get where you need to go quickly. You will be guaranteed to have no shortage of the delightful sound of gold being collected coming through your headphones.
