Dota 2: NiP acquire Chicken Fighters

It did not take long for the Ninjas in Pyjamas to fill the void left behind by Peter “ppd” Dager’s retirement. Their new Lineup sees the return of an old ninja alongside a couple of new faces.

Chickens to Ninjas

With the acquisition of Chicken Fighters NiP has decided to dissolve their former roster and invest into one of the breakout teams from the current online era of competitive Dota 2. The newly minted Ninjas were one of the surprises during the ESL One Los Angeles Online tournament, where they achieved a surprising fourth place over the likes of Nigma and Team Secret.

Among the new Ninjas is also a returnee to the Swedish organisation as Adrian “Era” Kryeziu makes his way back to NiP for the third time in his career.

Old Roster Released

The roster move by NiP also means the exit for the remaining three players of their old roster. Nikita “Daxak” Kuzumin, Jason “TANNER” Weedon and Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos have become free agents as the Ninjas have dropped the remnants of the roster that ppd had built.

The current NiP roster:

  • Charlie “CharlieDota” Arat
  • Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha
  • Jonáš “SabeRLight-“ Volek
  • Adrian “Era” Kryeziu
  • Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev

The new Ninjas can be seen in action in the ongoing WePlay! Pushka League Season 1.
