DrDisrespect launches new game studio Midnight Society

YouTube streamer and content creator DrDisrespect has officially launched his new game studio, Midnight Society, alongside industry veterans Robert Bowling and Quinn Delhoyo. Reports have stated that a job listing for a gaming studio head appeared on DrDisrespect’s Champion’s Club website. This all but confirmed the launch of DrDisrespect’s triple-A gaming studio.

Midnight Society made its official launch on Twitter, also linking its website. Prior to DrDisrespect’s start on YouTube and Twitch, he was more well known in the game design field for Sledgehammer Games. Guy Beahm created several maps across multiple Call of Duty games, most notably on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. Though even going full time into streaming, DrDisrespect still collaborated to create maps such as ‘The Champions Club’ in Rogue Company.

Now, Midnight Society marks DrDisrespect marks his return to the gaming industry. The newly formed company boasts its ‘day zero’ approach to game design, giving access to players and influencers at the very start of the game development process. This approach seeks to allow players a guiding voice throughout a game’s development cycle.

With a team assembled from developers from Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War, the newly minted games company has a plethora of veterans from the FPS genre. Midnight Society is also backed by Sumit Gupta, founder of BoomTV, a tournament organizing company DrDisrespect had previously worked with. Though Midnight Society has not announced any official plans, fans can keep track of news via the company’s Twitter and website.
