EA won’t let Trainwrecks participate in NICKMERCS’ Apex Legends tournament

As NICKMERCS has a big Apex Legends tournament on the horizon with a $50.000 prize pool, Trainwrecks was looking to get in on the action. On Twitter however, he claims that EA won’t let him participate in the tournament due to the gambling content that is often featured in his livestreams.

Trainwrecks went on to call out EA for their own actions and their hypocrisy, referring to their own type of gambling in the form of FIFA packs. “Hey EA, you corrupt shady f**ks. The real gamble was done by you when you paid me 150K for 4 hours of Apex, a game no one gives a fuck about me playing. I’ll sponsor Nicks tourney for double what you offer, you virtue signaling, FIFA pack gambling fucks.”

It’s not the first time Trainwrecks has come under fire for his gambling content, as many content creators have spoken out about it in the past. Trainwrecks himself has said he gambles just as much off-stream as he does when he’s online and that he’s very transparent about the risks that are involved. It’ll be interesting to see how NICKMERCS and EA respond and if he’ll be allowed to play in the tournament after all.
