Verdansk is dead, long live Caldera! This could be Activision’s slogan for Warzone. The long-awaited integration of the Battle Royale into Call of Duty: Vanguard will happen December 2. This will result in a map change as Verdansk will disappear from the franchise. To properly send Verdansk off the special event “Last Hours of Verdansk” will pay tribute to the map.

The destruction of Verdansk will happen on November 30, while the event will be playable until December 1. What exactly destroys the city is not yet clear, but the announcement blog title hints at an explosive end.
Players will not immediately get access to Caldera after the special event. Vanguard owners will get a one day headstart on Warzone: Pacific, while other players need to wait until December 3. Rebirth Island will remain as map and be accessible without interruption.
