In a completely new feature for DreamHack Masters Spring, viewers will be able to watch the POV of the professional players that are competing.
ESL went on to announce the POV streams yesterday, with it being a novelty during the playoff of DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. You’ll be able to jump right into the action by viewing one of the 10 POV streams, one for each player, with the match between Astralis and G2 Esports being the first one to feature it. By watching their POV viewers can get a better understanding of the reasoning behind the strategies and decisions the professional players make.
It’s not certain yet if this is going to be a recurring feature and if it will be available for future events, but DreamHack has already commented that if the feature does well and is watched by fans, we can expect more of it. The POV streams will not feature the X-ray, more closely mirroring what the pro is seeing, but both teams will still show up on the radar however.
People who are interested in checking out the future can do so on Friday, when Astralis and G2 Esports meet at 16:45 CEST, followed by FURIA versus Natus Vincere. Other matches in the playoffs will also feature POV streams.
