Yet, when in a clutch situation the bomb suddenly becomes your only ally and a valuable asset. Today we’re taking a look at how faking it can get you the win!
Decision making
You’re in a 1v1 or 1v2 situation as a terrorist and still have some time on your hands. You know they are collapsing on your position, but are unaware of their exact location. The sound of a plant often lures out the most greedy of CT’s, so a fake can give you a fair shot of getting you a winnable duel.
Make sure you are open for, preferably, one entry point to the site whilst having cover to others which you consider a likely position for the CT’s to enter from. This way, you can possibly duel a single player, even in a 1v2 situation where the opponents are coming from different locations. Tap the bomb again to lure out the second if they haven’t already and you might be hearing the happy screams of your teammates soon enough!
Defusing (or not)
Whilst coming in a clutch situation as a CT can become a bit more time pressured, you can try to do slightly the same thing. Of course you can control what angles you are open for most of the time, but you can fake nonetheless. This will bait a peek if you do it early enough, waiting until the timer runs deep is a mistake you can’t afford. If you have the AWP, try to scope whilst defusing and sticking, the sound of the scope will come through and they often think you are faking!
