FaZe Clan signs Academy VALORANT roster

Sources have reported that FaZe Clan has acquired Seal Team to act as its VALORANT Academy roster. The core three of the roster, Yoshii, Bones, and Cade3k, to fill out the five-man FaZe will also enlist Wubby and D1msumboi.

This supposed roster comes only days after FaZe Clan has made some major moves to its main squad. Rebuilding around Babybay, FaZe’ VALORANT starting roster will bring several days back to competitive. FaZe’s 2022 roster will include names such as Dicey and ShoT_Up.

FaZe will field and incredibly young, talent roster with serious potential to challenge the main team. Only 14-years-old, Bones is heralded as one of the game’s most promising prospects. With Cade3k on Controllers and Yoshii acting as an instrumental Jett presence, the trio won plenty of trophies as a part of Seal Team.

The duo of Wubby and D1msumboi played alongside each other as a part of Mafia. Playing as initiators and sentinels respectively, the two were fairly accomplished in the relatively short run. Former Seal Team coach Mas will also join the roster and spearhead the five man roster.

Academy teams are still relatively new in the VALORANT. Though Riot Games’ other esports title, League of Legends, has used the concept for years, VALORANT is just beginning to catch on. Cloud9, TSM, T1, and now FaZe will all field Academy teams to compete in lower tier tournaments. Due to current rules, FaZe Academy can only compete in third-party tournaments.
