Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 is finally happening

After several delays, Epic Games have finally fixed the start date for the third season of Fortnite Chapter 2. Monday, June 15 will see the long awaited arrival of the next season.

Initially scheduled for June 6 then delayed until June 11 Fortnite fans have had a hard time waiting for the new season. Now Epic Games has finally fixed the release date for June 15.

Midas and his Doomsday device

Central to the upcoming event will be Midas, the leader of the spies that took over the isle during season 2. Inside The Agency in the center of the island players could already see the Doomsday device in Midas’ room. According to leaks and dataminers the event transitioning Fortnite to the third season will be the activation of said device.

One of the effects of the device will apparently be submerging large parts of the isle underwater as dataminers have found new swimming animations.

Adding fuel to those rumors is the leaked image of the Fortnite Battle Bus above the waves.

Although official details are still sparse the patience of the fans will not be tested much longer as the event is scheduled to go live on June 15.
