The current Season 5 is nearing its end. Season 6 kicks off on March 15 and will bring new storylines and gameplay changes.
According to rumours the new season will feature the return of Kevin the Cube, the disappearance of the sand area and new crossovers.
Will the Zero Point explode?
Before we dive into the new season we can look forward to the season finale and its corresponding event. This time around the main focus of the even seems to be the Zero Point in the center of the sand area. Since the update 15.50 the Zero Point has started to visibly crack, pulsates and also plays mysterious sounds.

Dataminer Mang0e has found hints that the Zero Point will most likely send out four waves in the closing days of Season 5. These will most likely cause four smaller events instead of one large-scale event to conclude the season. Mang0e also discovered files that describe how NPCs are affected by the Zero Point.
If players are in the vicinity of the Zero Point and use the in-built voice chat, it can also lead to distortions in their voice.

It is unclear yet which exact effects the waves will have and how the story of Fortnite continues, but Epic Games is once again gearing for a memorable event.
