Gen.G provides statement regarding recent tresspassings at Seoul HQ
Gen.G has issued a statement after fans have repeatedly tried to trespass on their HQ’s headquarters.
“99.99% of our fans are incredible. Even during the worst of times, I appreciate their passion for our team. Rest assured, the safety of our players always comes first, & we have contacted the authorities, increased security, and have let our neighbors know to take precautions”, said Gen.G COO Arnold Hur.
Twitter user @KevinKimLoL translated the statement to reveal some rather disturbing occurrences that took place in Seoul.
“Recently, we have encountered several attempts to trespass, or without prior knowledge enter our Seoul headquarters. There have been cases of people armed with weapons that tried to enter our headquarters or wait near our players’ commonly used routes,” the statement reads.
Marino Lee, Senior Director of Marketing at Gen.G weighed in as well.
“With COVID-19, as well as for players and the staffs’ safety, to prevent potential incidents, for those looking to send in gifts or visit, please let us know in advance so that we can come up with the best way to proceed after consideration,” he said.
From Marino Lee, Senior Director of Marketing at Gen.G
"It is with heavy hearts that we had to also inform this to the fans that have given us genuine love and support. Please understand this is to protect everyone in the organization."https://t.co/RCeUo4fs5f
He apologized to the fans who show genuine support and love for the organization. He hopes they understand the measures that are put into place to ensure the safety of all team members.
There are still a lot of unknowns why people are trying to get into the headquarters. Gen.G did lose two games in the LCK recently after the organization decided to experiment with its roster.
