Halo Championship Series to return with $3 million prize pool, including full roadmap for upcoming season

The Halo Championship Series will make a comeback starting November 21 in major regions Europe and North America, but also Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. The base prize pool will be $3 million, but it’ll get even higher through crowdfunding. “Additionally, we will be crowdfunding for each of the Regionals, Supers, Majors, as well as the Halo World Championship, including all regions, so that all competitors in the ecosystem have the opportunity to benefit from community crowdfunding.”

We’ll see both online tournaments through Faceit which will secure seeding for later events, as well as a Halo Pro Series event which will be hosted in each of the regions with the top teams taking each other on. Alongside this consistent play, Super and Regional tournaments which are hosted, as well as Majors being the biggest events in the Halo Championship Series leading into the Halo World Championship.

Finally a lot of the esports content is going to get streamed, opting for simultaneous streams on multiple platforms. “In order to reach as many fans as possible and on the platforms they watch on, we’re going to be simultaneously streaming to both Twitch and YouTube, with the main broadcasts being shown on the Halo channels.” You can check out the full information, as well as registrations, format and playable maps and guns, on the newest Halo blog.
