HenryG leaves Cloud9, takes time away from CS:GO

Former caster and Cloud9 CS:GO general manager Henry “HenryG” Greer will be taking some time away from CS:GO following his departure from the team.

HenryG went on to announce the news on Twitter, commenting on his time with the organization and the CS:GO project itself. “Today’s the day Cloud9 and myself will be parting ways. Thanks to Jack Etienne for the opportunity and the players for their hard work and time. It’s truly a shame how things panned out with a lot of mitigating circumstances but plenty of positive memories, too.”

The news comes following the announcement that Cloud9 will be leaving CS:GO, effectively ending their project which saw the creation of a new roster. The roster went to quite a few changes as head coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović left the organization and Özgür “woxic” Eker was released, with Cloud9 picking up Erick “Xeppaa” Bach instead. Performance from the team had been mediocre at best. The players themselves have been transfer-listed as they look for a new team.

Despite him and Cloud9 parting ways, HenryG announced that he’s taking a break and that he’ll be looking at future opportunities when the right one comes along. “While the space is in this strange transition period I have decided to take a sabbatical and enjoy some of the normality that life has to offer. It’s certainly been a while. I will be back eventually when the right opportunity arises.“
