Things haven’t gone great for Jensen this offseason. Team Liquid decided to bring in mid laner Bjergsen for their starting roster as they decided to shuffle the team around. This left Jensen on the bench and no other teams decided to pay his buyout, leaving him possibly without an option to play in the upcoming 2022 season. Now Team Liquid has released him from his contract however, allowing him to explore free agency.
Team Liquid announced their decision on Twitter and thanked Jensen for his contributions to the team. “We are so thankful for Jensen for being with us for our team’s most successful years. We won LCS Championships together, ended up in the MSI Finals, and went to Worlds three times. We were lucky to have him for as long as we did and wish him nothing but the best.”
Now that Jensen is a free agent, it’s still possible that some teams might still look in his direction when assembling their team. According to most rumors, LCS doesn’t have a lot of openings left, which might still mean Jensen remains without a team for at least the Spring Split.
