Jungler Meteos leaves 100 Thieves

After a rollercoaster of a split, 100 Thieves and William “Meteos” Hartman have mutually decided to part ways. The LCS team has been trying out a variety of setups for both its main and academy roster, and in the end Meteos is going to be a free agent again.

The jungler for 100 Thieves, William “Meteos” Hartman is a free agent once more. In an announcement made yesterday, the team announced that they have both agreed that it would be in their respective best interests to release Meteos from the roster.

Meteos himself also released a lengthy statement on the matter. Therein, he apologizes for some of the more controversial tweets he sent during the middle of the split and explains his viewpoints regarding the performance of 100 Thieves. The fact that he was benched after week 3 came as a complete surprise to him, which according to him is the main reason behind his outbursts.

Perhaps the most interesting is the fact that Meteos, at this point and time, is unsure as to what his career will hold next. He is unwilling to give up competitive League, as he states that ‘competing is still where my passion lies, and it’s not something that I’m ready to close the door on’.

Do you think Meteos will find success like he did on old C9 again? Will he return to competitive play, or will he become a mainstay analyst on the LCS? Join the discussion on Social Media or our Discord!
