Leaf signs for Cloud9 Blue, makes move to VALORANT

CS:GO player Nathan “leaf” Orf has decided to leave the scene behind and made the move to VALORANT. He’ll be representing Cloud9 Blue.

The move to Cloud9 Blue isn’t so weird by itself, as the organization was still looking for new players after one of their star players, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo decided to leave the roster to pursue his career in content creation. Cloud9 Blue also parted ways with their captain Josh “Shinobi” Abastado in December after a disappointing showing at VALORANT First Strike North America. Cloud9 Blue currently has four active members.

Leaf had a short but turbulent stay within the CS:GO scene. He entered the scene as one of the hottest new prospects, raking in some great results during his time at Chaos Esports Club, who would later go on to release their roster and leave CS:GO as a whole. With Chaos Esports Club leaf won the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 NA and IEM Beijing Online NA. They ended in fifth place during the ESL Pro League Season 12 NA. He received cheating accussation from Brazilians earlier this year, which he received apologies for from Brazilian streamer Gaules.

Cloud9 Blue announced the signing with a video, where they interview leaf. There he details his ambitions with the team. “Personally I’d like to be one of the top players in the game and I definitely think I have the capabilities to do so. I’m a pretty decent CS player, If I say so myself, and I think it’d definitely be achievable to be one of the top players in the game.
