League of Legends 11.17 patch notes preview – Big Viego nerf, Lucian back to bot lane
One of the biggest champions to be targeted is Viego, who’ll see nerfs almost across the board. Other nerfs include Graves, Zed, Kayn, Irelia and Leona. The latter one has been a powerful and stable support over multiple patches. In the buff department we see champions such as Ekko and Evelynn, who pro play hasn’t seen a lot of lately, but their jungle presence should increase. Finally there’s buffs to Nami, Senna, Lissandra, Teemo and Xayah.
Patch 11.17 Preview is here!
A few systems changes, champion adjustments, and a light set of buffs/nerfs that are a bit more solo queue focused for now, since there is no pro play on this patch.
There’s multiple champions getting adjusted as well. Lucian will be made less powerful in the mid lane, shifting him more towards the bot lane. New champion Akshan will also be slightly altered as he still suffers from low win rates. Finally there’s Amumu and Gangplank, with the latter getting changes to his kit, making him a little easier to play.
Some prevalent items in the current meta are also being toned down a little, among them the popular Divine Sunderer, which has become a go-to item for many champions, and Serpent’s Fang. Riot is looking to buff the relatively recent Hullbreaker, which was implemented to make split pushing more viable. Finally there’s some planned upgraded to Youmuu’s Ghostblade as well.
