As the BLAST Premier Spring groups moved toward conclusion, Liquid managed to eliminate MIBR, while NaVi took down FaZe, sending them to the lower bracket and qualifying for the Grand Final.
In the upper bracket final NaVi took on FaZe clan as both teams came in hot after a convincing victory. FaZe didn’t bring the dominance they showed to Inferno however, falling to NaVi 16-8. They would regroup in the next map, Nuke, where they’d go on to lead by a wide margin at halftime before closing out the game. Everything came down to Nuke, where it went to overtime. NaVi turned out to be a tad stronger, taking the game and moving to the Grand Final.
In the lower bracket Liquid found themselves facing MIBR, having to prove they can still shine after being stomped by FaZe. They certainly redeemed themselves as they absolutely trampled MIBR, taking Vertigo 16-6 followed by a 16-9 on Inferno. They’ll now have to face FaZe once more in the upcoming lower bracket final, to decide who’ll get to square off with NaVi.
The lower bracket final between FaZe and Liquid is scheduled to start at 16:30 CET, while the upper bracket final will start at 20:30 CET. As this match day comes to a close, so does the group stage of BLAST Premier Spring.
