Logan Paul gets $3.5 million reimbursed after buying fake Pokémon box

The fake Pokémon box Logan Paul bought for a whopping $3.5 million won’t be haunting the influencer’s dreams anymore. The seller, who goes by the name Shyne, has publicly stated he paid back the full purchase amount.

The video Paul uploaded on January 13 where he revealed he was scammed out of millions, quickly went to the top of the trending videos on YouTube. With the title “I lost $3,500,000 on fake Pokemon cards”, it’s not surprising a lot of people clicked on the video.

Sadly, the group of collectors who provided proof on why they thought the box could be fake were right.

Through an Instagram story, shyne150 says: “Upon opening the 1st Edition BBCE authenticated Pokemon case, we noticed that the boxes inside looked off, and sadly, the case was fake. Logan Paul and I are grateful to Rattle and the Pokemon community for exposing this fraudulent case now before it was transacted any further.”

“I have reimbursed Logan his 3.5 , however, we will see how quickly I am made whole from the sellers who brought it to me already authenticated in the coming days or if it turns into a drawn-out scenario.”

While shine was quick to reimburse Paul Logan, he himself isn’t sure when he’ll get his money back from Meelypops (where he bought the box from) and Card Kahuna. The former did agree to give back his part of the proceeds, as shine explained in another Instagram story.

“I’m encouraged by my legal team that Meelypops has agreed through his counsel to escrow the proceeds he received from the sale while we work to recover the rest of my funds from Card Kahuna.”
