LoL – $400,000+ salaries in the LCS

Playing North American League of Legends within the LCS seems to be quite the profitable endeavor. At least according to Hal Biagas of the “North America LCS Players Association”

This year the average income of LCS players is approximately $410,000. Resulting in an average monthly income of $34,000. Executive Director Hal Biagas of the NALCSPA let the number slip.

As announced by @hbiagas on #EssentialEsports today, the average LCS player’s salary is now approximately $410,000.

Time for them to chip in and fund the LCS Players’ Association themselves, I think.

At first glance the average seems extremely high, but keeping in mind that several top players supposedly earn more than a million yearly the discrepancies in salary within the LCS are probably very significant. Even with a high salary most players also receive support from their teams in terms of housing and daily living expenses.

Considering a poll by ESPN salaries have grown considerably in comparison to 2016. Back then the average was determined at $105,385.
