Misfits reveal 2022 LEC roster

Misfits announced its roster ahead of the 2022 season, featuring several changes to the core lineup of the organization. This new iteration of the Misfits roster will include HiRit, Shlatan, Vetheo, Neon, and Mersa. Along with an almost fully renovated coaching staff and ERL team, Misfits hope to build upon the marginal success it saw last season.

HiRit and Vetheo will be the two returning players from the previous competitive season. The South Korean toplaner, HiRit, was among the best solo laners all season long, and has since been signed to a two-year contract on Misfits. Vetheo will also make his second starting appearance in the LEC after a promising, albeit at times shaky, debut in 2021.

Neon will replace Kobbe in the bottom lane following the departure of Schalke 04 from the LEC. Alongside LIMIT, Neon had an impressive Spring despite the team’s struggles in the Summer Split. The Slovakian ADC has often weaved in and out of the LEC, previously playing on Misfits and Misfits Academy in 2019.

Mersa and Shlatan will join the main squad after being moved up from the ERLs. Mersa will join Neon in the bottom lane as the support, replacing Vander. The veteran support player will take an open role in Misfits Premier as the roster tries out Mersa. Shlatan is coming directly from the Misfits Premier ERL team after finding success in the LFL.

Though the roster has brought in some new faces to try out on the main stage, it seems that Misfits also seeks to build the synergy between past members. With the LEC bound to start on Jan. 14th, we will see how this new version of Misfits stacks up.
