Mousesports sign Dexter as new IGL

As it’s becoming more and more clear that Karrigan will be departing the organization, mousesports has signed Christopher “dexter” Nong to their roster.

Mousesports reportedly has been interested in signing Dexter for quite a while now and, following the imminent departure of Finn “Karrigan” Andersen, were finally able to do so. Dexter will find a familiar face over at mousesports, playing under his former coach Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg who he already played under during his time at Renegades. It’s not the first move mouseports has made in the past month. Earlier they already brought Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand on board and they sent out Chris “ChrisJ” de Jong on loan to FunPlus Phoenix.

The 26-year-old Dexter has quite a bit of experience within CS:GO, starting out his competitive career back in 2015. He most notably played under the Grayhound Gaming banner with the roster later being acquired by Renegades back in 2020. Back in October 2020 Dexter dominated the ESL Pro League Season 12 Oceania with Renegades, beating out ORDER in the final without dropping a map in the main event.

Dexter will find himself in a trial of fire as hell participate in the IEM Katowice 2021 play-in with mousesports on February 16. His former team Renegades will be one of his scheduled opponents. It’ll be interesting to see if Dexter can fill the shoes left by Karrigan and lead mousesports to better times.
