Natus Vincere enters VALORANT, signs Cloud as the first member of their roster

The legendary CIS esports organization is expanding into VALORANT after a recent announcement.

Natus Vincere are the latest organization to have branched into the VALORANT esports scene. The CIS organization’s entrance into VALORANT comes after a highly anticipated wait. Navi seemed to have always courted the idea of entering Riot’s tactical FPS, as some of their most notable players had taken some interest in the game.

The legendary CIS team began their foray into VALORANT with their first signing earlier in the day. Kirill “Cloud” Nehozhin will lead off the Navi VALORANT roster. Navi’s first player previously spent his young career on CrowCrowd. This tier three organization has largely maintained a steady presence in the CIS region, making both the VCT qualifiers thus far though failing to make it further.

Only 17 years old, Cloud is heralded as a VALORANT ‘prodigy.’ and could be a key component to Navi’s success in the new FPS. Navi’s entrance into VALORANT comes at a massive period of growth in the esport’s history. After Masters Reykjavik, VALORANT has seen unprecedented viewer growth and general public interest. The announcement video nodded to this fact, as it seems like a prime time for organizations to invest.

Natus Vincere still have a long way to go to building a complete roster. With four vacant slots, time will tell how their roster fills out. Far out from their first tournament, we will have to see Navi came make strides to the VCT Champions rather late in the game.
